Demo at Automate'25 with Siemens

We had an exciting opportunity to demo Visum AI’s technology at Automate 2025 alongside our partners at Siemens. The event brought together the leading minds in industrial automation, robotics, and AI. It was the perfect stage to show what visual AI can do for data center operations.

What We Showed

The demo centered on our Visum DC Assistant, a visual AI guidance system that runs entirely on an edge device. No cloud. No latency. Just real-time, step-by-step visual instructions overlaid on the technician’s live view of a task.

We walked attendees through a DIMM replacement scenario, one of the most common and error-prone tasks in a data center environment. The assistant:

• Captured the technician’s view via a handheld device
• Identified the server model and the target DIMM slot
• Overlaid step-by-step instructions directly on the live image
• Verified that the replacement was correctly seated before marking the task complete

The reaction from data center operators in the audience was immediate: “This is exactly what we need for our newer staff.”

Why Automate'25?

Industrial automation and data center operations have more in common than people realize. Both involve:

• High-consequence tasks performed by humans in physical environments
• Complex equipment with evolving configurations
• A persistent gap between expert knowledge and frontline execution

The conversations at Automate reinforced our conviction that the data center industry is ready for visual AI guidance. The overlap with broader industrial automation creates partnership opportunities we are eager to explore.

Looking Ahead

Our work with Siemens is opening doors to new deployment scenarios, including integration with existing DCIM platforms and the ability to trigger Visum’s visual guidance from within existing workflow systems.
